THE sixth edition of the ever-popular Pega Star Futsal Tournament will be back at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Sports Complex on June 6.
First kicking off in 2008, the competition organised by Pega Star Futsal Team attracted 32 teams when it was last held in April.
A member of the organising committee, Pg Amirrulzam Pg Kamalludin, was confident the tournament would draw a better response this time around.
"We are aiming for 35 teams this time, but that isn't a lot really," he said yesterday. "Last time we were going to go with 30 teams but we added in two more since the demand was there. At least five teams have already registered for this edition.
"Our aim is to improve the level of futsal in the country."
Puspa FC are the competition's titleholders.
The tournament is open to clubs, associations, private and public departments.
Each team have to send in their application form and registration fee of $110 not later than 12pm on June 4.
